Autumn Solstice

It is now officially my fall break and I am so excited to get off campus and go home, and catch up with my family and friends. Since its fall, I really wanted to get into the season, so last weekend I went home to see some family and while I was there I made a pumpkin pie from a raw pumpkin, and I also painted pumpkins. I haven't ever really loved fall, but this year I am really embracing it, and I have to say, I love it. The changing leaves, the perfect sweater and boots weather, the pumpkin spice drinks, pies, cookies, and bread. My school even has pumpkin ice cream! I love it all! One thing I have left on my fall bucket list is a bonfire, which I will hopefully get to cross off this weekend. What are your feelings about fall?

Here is the pumpkin I painted. It was so much fun, and super easy. For the chevron pattern I took masking tape and did two stripes of the zig-zag pattern, and painted around it and then took off the tape when the paint had dried. So easy. The paint came from Walmart, I used a metallic gold and a solid white.

One of my favorite blogs is Lauren Conrad's and she recently posted about pumpkin ideas and this chevron pattern was one of them. Check the article out here: Tuesday Ten
It's fall ya'll, embrace it!
